Why Be Grateful? Includes free printable Thanksgiving Napkin Rings!
It’s that time of year again. The time where the to-do lists become too long, the pace becomes too frantic. And where, in the midst of it all, we’re reminded to be grateful.
Is Gratitude Necessary?
But is it really necessary? Do we really need to stop and be grateful for every little thing? Well, no. It’s not necessary. You don’t have to be thankful for your neighbors, or the fact that they’ll bring your mail to you when it ended up in their mailbox (and thank you AT&T class action settlement check!) It’s not required to be grateful when you’re outside on a crisp, sunny fall afternoon, where brightly colored leaves cover the trees and ground, golden sunshine fills the sky, and the breeze carries the loamy scent of fallen leaves. It’s not necessary to feel gratitude, but feeling gratitude changes you. Gratitude can actually make you a better person.
Gratitude Enhances Your Health
From psychological well-being to physical health, taking the time to express gratitude reduces body aches, improves mental health, enhances empathy and raises your self-esteem. You’ll sleep better, think more clearly, and get along better with those around you. It can help directly by reminding you of all the good in your life, and indirectly by buffering against the negatives that inevitably come your way. It’s a win, no matter how you look at it.
Grateful you’ve stopped by
For me, I’m grateful that I have a place to share my love of design and sharpen my blogging skills. And I’m thankful for you, dear reader! I hope you’ll have a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you’ll enjoy my little napkin holder. The instructions are on the printable, and you can download by clicking the button below.
2023 Update
This fun freebie was one of the very first I did for the blog. And in the years since, I created a printable bunting and matching place cards as a fun set (links are below). I’ve wanted to update the artwork on these napkin rings to better match the rest of the set, so this year I freshened up the colors and the heading a bit. I hope they work for your Thanksgiving table. 🙂
