Top 10 Summer Favorites – Includes a Free Printable!

Summer is Here!

Yeah, Summer! It’s here and it’s now! 🙂 If you and I have anything in common, you are also thrilled that summertime has finally arrived. Of course, it gets hot and there’s so much to get done. And yes, it flies by too quickly, but that’s all part of the experience, isn’t it? Summer is mother nature wide awake, and she invites us to be the same. I love this time of year, so it’s not easy culling my list of favorites to just 10, but here goes:

Summer’s Top 10 Favorites

Summer Mornings. Mornings are always special, but summer mornings are glorious. The earth feels reborn on a summer morning and I feel reborn too when I get out and experience that morning.
Summer gardens. What is more amazing than a garden in full bloom? Between flowers, vegetables and even the industrious weed, everything in a garden is exploding with life and that rubs off on me. I just feel more alive when I spend time in my garden.
Summertime produce. Ahh, fresh picked and bursting with flavor. What is not to love about fresh peas or corn on the cob? Crack open that fresh watermelon and taste summer on your tongue.
Sunsets. I love the long evenings and beautiful sunsets that summertime brings. The golden hour before and the twilight hour after sunset are also magical. How wonderful that every summer day has a special occasion at the end!
Summertime grass. I love how the grass feels on my bare feet any summer morning, noon or night. It’s cooling and soothing and as close as your backyard or the nearest park.
Summertime flowers (of course!) From the late blooming peony to the daisies, daylilies and roses. Even the rough-looking pampas grass gets in on the show. I love me some flowers, so this season is the time to take it all in!
Summer vacations! Whether it’s road tripping or jetting off to a new locale, summertime vacations are fun to anticipate, plan and execute. I love all kinds of vacations, but I especially love the summer vacays that get me into the mountains. Which brings me to my next favorite:
Camping. I love getting back into the sticks, and I’m fortunate enough to live very close to some beautiful mountain ranges. So whether it’s a close overnighter, or a longer trip to a wilderness area, state or national park, I’m a huge fan of getting away from the hustle and bustle and communing with nature.
Summer holidays. Woo hoo! Memorial Day, July 4th, local city and state holidays, Labor Day, there’s always a holiday on the horizon during the summertime.
