G’Day May!

May is here! Let’s greet this outstanding springtime month with a cheerful G’Day! May is the joyful month when the spring season comes into its own. It’s a green month of new growth and blooms, sunshine and warmth. A month when beautiful days welcome us, urging us to get out and commune with Mother Nature.

Saying G’Day

I had a few different options for greetings this month. While Cinco de Mayo celebrations were a consideration, I thought I’d save that particular greeting for later in the year. We could say I went with G’Day because May Day is a big celebration in Australia, but it’s mostly because I like the alliteration. It really does trip off the tongue so well with May!

May has many holidays

As I said before, May Day is a big celebration, the perfect way to start this beautiful springtime month. Lots of other holidays are also celebrated in May. Previously mentioned is Cinco de Mayo, celebrated May 5, and other holidays include Mother’s Day, Nurses Day, Armed Forces Day on May 17th, as well as Memorial Day (needs it’s own printable!) And finally, I can’t neglect to mention National Star Wars Day on May 4th (may the fourth be with you!)
