My First Printable

OK, here’s my first printable! I wanted to offer something appropriate for the season, and fell in love with this beautiful leaf art from ReneBlooms.com. I love autumn but I’m not a fan of winter. Yes, winter is pretty. The sunlight sparkles like a million diamonds on newly fallen snow. The hush of a winter’s night is almost magical when the muffled quiet fills the air. But winter chills me to the bone. I’ve spent every winter season of my life slogging through slush and enduring the icy temperatures. I subject family and friends to never-ending complaints about driving on slippery roads. They pretend they haven’t heard it all before, and I pretend not to see them roll their eyes while I whine.

Appreciate the season

And look at me getting ahead of myself! Here I am, approaching fall with mixed feelings, knowing that winter will soon be on its way. But instead of dreading the change of season, I want to enjoy autumn in all its glory. I want to appreciate the turning leaves and crisp, sunny days. That sentiment is the inspiration for today’s printable. It’s a lesson to live in the now, and appreciate the beauty that is, like life, fleeting.

Appreciate October

I hope your October is filled with wonderful moments. I hope it’s complete with brilliant, turning leaves, pumpkin lattes and hot cider, corn mazes and hayrides. And if you live in the land of never-snow, I hope you enjoy the milder temperatures and activities that go with this time of year. Wherever you call home, I hope you live in the moment and appreciate the season.
