July is Here! Free Printable and a Chatbooks bonus!

It’s July, the height of summer and time for all the summer celebrations! This is the month we celebrate Independence Day here in the U.S. Americans have a tendency to be a bit myopic when it comes to our celebrations (what – doesn’t everyone celebrate Thanksgiving?) but after a quick search, I found a whole host of countries that celebrate their independence in July. Most notably is our admirable neighbor to the north. Canada Day (formerly known as Dominion Day) is celebrated on July 1st. According to travelnotes.org, Rwanda, Somalia, Ghana and Columbia also celebrate Independence days on the first of July, and France, Ireland, Argentina and the Bahamas (to name just a few) also celebrate national holidays during July.

July is a good month to celebrate

Summer is all about enjoying life and July is summer full on. Whether it’s camping, swimming, or summer vacations, it just feels as if there’s time to enjoy the simple things during July. Bright sunny days and long summer evenings accompanied by beautiful sunsets. Evenings under the stars where the air is gentle and warm. Summer get togethers are always fun, whether it’s barbecues or play dates or community celebrations. There’s always something to look forward to.

Making July Plans

I always seem to make a big list for myself during the summer months because I don’t want to miss out on anything that summer offers. Whether it’s visiting a national park (at least one per summer please!) or tackling home projects, there’s always so much to do. But I think the most important thing is to be present in the moment. Enjoy the beautiful mornings, the bright sunny days and the stormy (sometimes fierce) summer rains, and the beautiful nights. This July, another goal is to just be grateful for all the beautiful summer moments and the people who I’m blessed to share those moments with.
