Pumpkin Spice Season is Here!

Yaassss! It’s time for all things pumpkin! I’m all about fall pumpkin spice season. I love me some pumpkin pie, pumpkin latte, pumpkin cupcakes, cookies, and bread. And let’s not forget pumpkin ice cream and pumpkin cream cheese. What’s not to love? If you’re not a pumpkin lover, I can’t possibly make you understand.

It’s all about the spice

But is it the pumpkin, really, or is it really about the spices? I love the combination of spices that create that special pumpkin taste. You need just the right blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves (and maybe even a little allspice) for that true pumpkin spice flavor. Without those wonderful, aromatic spices, well then, pumpkin is just another squash. So, although pumpkin gets all the glory, it’s the wonderful spices that elevate pumpkin above other mere vegetables.

Let’s celebrate!

The season for pumpkin spice is short. It passes as quickly as those golden Autumn days and falls away as fast as the turning leaves. Pumpkin spice reminds us to savor the moment. Let’s celebrate Pumpkin Spice season!
